Taiwanese Bao Zhong oolong tea is grown outside New Taipei in the Ping Ling District of Northern Taiwan. This is a classic oolong from the country that crafts some of the best oolongs in the world. Farmers from Taiwan first imported bushes and growing techniques from China's famed tea-growing province Fujian during the nineteenth century.
The name "baozhong" tea means “wrapped” tea and refers to the former paper package style.
Like a morning walk through a mountain orchard, this high-grown spring tea is fragrant with honey and peach pit notes. It is best enjoyed when steeped in a small Yixing teapot over several infusions and, of course, in the presence of very good friends.
